"The GBA Goes To War"
Nintendo wants you to go buy Advanced Wars September 10, 2001 (or now...).
This new BIG strategy for Nintendo's smallest handheld is gonna beâ ¦a
HUGE hit.. It gives you in-depth game play, great animations, and many
modes to choose from.
Field Training
As the game starts out you meet Nell a head CO of the Orange Star Army.
She will teach you everything you need to know. You enter the name you
shall be called by the rest of the game then head to the field. There
are 14 training missions that will teach you everything you need to know
for war. After you beat all the missions you unlock 3 more game modesâ ¦
Campaign Mode
This is war the war begins. You and your new leading CO Andy are out to
win. Of course you will meet and gain powers of other CO's. Each CO has
a special power. Like repairing all troops or powering them all up. In
those mode you place your units and fight-opposing enemies.
War Room
Hone in on your skills in the War Room. Take part in over a dozen missions
using your choice of a CO. Unlock new enemies to battle and gain Advanced
War Coins. With these coins you can purchase new maps and map cases.
VS Mode
Battle your friends with only one game pack and one GBA system. This is
great if you have cheap friends who like to freeload off you. You simply
pass around the GBA letting each person control only there army. Battle
with up to 4 friends with one system. How great is that?
Link Mode
Now if you wanna play with your up-class friends who each own at least
a GBA, then you can. They all don't have to have a game pack, but with
one game pack its not the same as being able to pick from many different
maps. Below is the map you play on with only one cartridge.
Map Design
Another great mode is that you can create your own maps to own or get
owned against your friends on. Add cities, oceans, bases, units, starting
points, etc.
I give this game one ratingâ ¦10 out of 10. It is one
of those GBA games that you just gotta have. It may anger you at some
points, but if you give the game a rest and go at it again later, you
will eventually get the mission done.
