I can't think of anything that would drain my funds more than a gaming pc. they run between 2.5k to 4k. I wish I could shell out that kind of cash. But even if I did there would only be a few games that would fully utilize it and I would just have to upgrade again in 6 months if I was really serious about it. Also I think a system that doesn't have any real standards to base what to build a game on can only breed shoddy programing, whereas having set standards like a console, works to increase the know-how to make the most of what is given. In other words no matter how great the specs a PC has it will never be able to preform that well, developers for PC have to accommodate for all the other PCs as well. Which is the reason consoles are more popular with the masses. They know what they're getting. They know it will always be able to completely run everything made for it, and they can spend their free money on games rather than upgrades. 300-400 $ isnt a bad price for a 4-5 year span. PCs can't be good and compete with it.
