Ok, I have to say this for the people who need it spelled out for them. This is a list of the best rpgs of all time. WOW??!! are you kidding?! When you are refering to the best of anything of all time you will probably not be seeing anything new. "Of all time" usually means the classics, the games that started it all, not all the new age stuff coming out. And as far as the FF series, whether you like it or not, FF has had more impact on the rpg genre than any rpg game series, period! not saying you have to like it but its a fact. If you didnt start playing rpgs until the late 90's then you dont have any idea of what the best rpgs of all time are.
I thought the list was pretty good. There are a couple more I think should be mentioned IMO, like Secret of Evermore and Secret of Mana. The classics never die they just get older and more outdated lol. If you check ebay and amazon.com you will see that half of the games on this list are selling for $100-$400 mint condition brand new, so I think that says something about the popularity of these games and how much of impact they have had on the rpg genre as a whole.
