Over the years there have been games based off of
things you wouldn't usually associate with
gaming. We have had farming games, dancing games,
and dating games. The game I am about to review
today however, takes the term "original concept"
to a whole new level. So without further adieu I
give you my review for "Catch the Sperm" which is
available on PC via a download off of GameSpy.com.
Graphics - The game has very crisp graphics. The
inside of the birth canal is pretty detailed
with bubbles and mung aplenty. The sperm is highly
detailed complete wit wiggling tails. Also the
other STDs (including AIDS) are all uniquely
rendered.
Sound - The sound in this game is lifted directly
from a 70's porno flick. It has that cheesy porno
music that we all know and love. The music is
very appropriate while you are bagging some sperm.
All of the sound effects are funny too. There is
the sound of a guy moaning in pleasure, the sound
of the AIDS virus being trapped in a condom, and
the woo-hoo of a sperm as it alludes your condom
gun.
Gameplay - The game is a 1 level side scrolling
shooter. You take the role of a condom loaded
tube that has to stop all of the sperm and STDs
from reaching the ovaries. You do this by firing
condoms at the different objects. Each condom
fired costs 50 points, but you get the points
back (and then some) for each successful capture.
If a sperm or STD gets by you it's game over.
After you beat the game you have the option of
uploading your high scores to a website and the
person with the highest weekly score wins a free
catch the sperm mouse pad shaped like a condom.
Control - The control is tight and responsive. You
use the left mouse button to shoot condoms and you
move by moving the mouse up or down, no rocket
science here.
Final Thoughts - I laughed my ass off the fist time I
played this game. It is god for a laugh and when
friends come over. So go download it now!
