I liked the D&D scenes so much because Oswalt plays a nerd so well, probably because he is in fact a nerd.
As for a cliff-hanger, I'm lost as to how they'd pull it off from here since the final three episodes of the season have a common thread. Maybe they'll cop-out and it will all be a dream again...or I could see it being a huge prank.
Another thing I liked about season two was that there felt like there was more continuity to it. Supporting characters like Craig, Terry, and the KKK make frequent appearances and I think that helps give it more a sense of togetherness. It's not neccesailry a tight story line, but I think it's much better that way.
Also, is it just me or did they rely less on the 'usual' cast members this time around? In the first season you'd see the people with blurred faces in about every episode, correct? These were of course the permanent cast members with their faces blurred...but now the show's got support from other people. I don't remember seeing Jackie the crack-whore (played by Kerri Kenney/'Weigel') once this whole season, not that it's an important thing either way.
