They're trying to do what they think is best for the company. They may be stubborn
Hmm, that sure doesn't sound like someone who listens to fans...
I understand that first and foremost Nintendo is a business, and what has always made them great is their "unique" style, but sometimes you have to adapt to the times or fade away. And so far Nintendo has just been way too slow. They may be getting a few more gritty, mature games (and Star Fox is NOT one of those), and maybe even online play, but everyone else has had them for years already.
I really want Nintendo to have more third-party support, and of course, online support. But besides that, I wouldn't change a thing.
Besides that?! That's basically the WHOLE POINT! Nintendo is lacking in those 2 areas so badly that everything else they do is being overshadowed. Though it would also be nice to see Nintendo come out with a new game and not just sequels.
I'll save all my other rantings for the forum... :)
