Strafing would be the worse thing to add... think about it, gone is the tension from the arrow guys, gone is any tension at all from close range melee guys...
Adding a strafe would turn RE into Devil May cry... or some mindless FPS where all u have to do is circle strafe every single enemy you see... and that would be fun for about three times...
No strafe would take all tension from the game... i would have to strongly disagree with that, and i hope they dont add a strafe at all...
maybe a very restricted side step, but a free running strafe would be dumb... then they would need to add moving and shooting, which would destroy any tension the game has...
