the review has several good points. my$0.02: this game borrows the wrong things from other games. example: instead of ripping off codec style communication from MGS, they could have ripped off the MGS quick-change menu system. anything would be better than exiting gameplay entirely just to change weapons. RE4 isn't an action game. God of War is a fucking action game. RE4 is a halfassed sequel targeted towards an existing fanbase. without fanboy support, this game would fail. martian gothic was a better survival horror game, for fuck's sake.
the plot was just as halfassed as the controls. here is the gist of it: the illuminatti...er, "los illuminados" kidnap the presidents daughter so they can use her to spread parasitic hive-minded mind controlling organisms to all three branches of the US government, thus eliminating our system of checks and balances, and then using our mind controlled nation to conquer the world!!!1!!!one!!1!
i can't believe how many ppl are raving about this game being good. i give it a 6/10.
