So pissed off for the dozenth time that I did a google search for "Resident evil 4 sucks", and, well, I found it didn't I?
Great look, everything well textured and designed, pretty good levels and such, but NO ZOMBIES??? WTF do they think we buy RE for? And scary? F*** NO. "Uh-oh, he's going to kill me. There, I blew his head off." Not scary - unless you're a pussssay!
Resident Evil has it's own self-desciption, for all you non-noobs will remember - "SURVIVAL HORROR." RE4 is NEITHER. It's JAFS... Just Another Fucking Shooter.
Ok, actually that disappointment is minor. The real problem is the Gameplay, it's SHIT.
What Fucking MORON designs a SHOOTER with RE1 controls??? It's 10 times too fucking slow!! If a fucking Farmer runs at you, but runs to one side to avoid your aim, you turn to blast him, but you CAN"T KEEP UP with him?!? It's so fucking STUPID!!
For more Gameplay garbage, try this;
In the castle, after you meet the first blind man, get past the flaming statues and enter the hall with 4 pools and a lot of Monks -
Throw a grenade... the Fucking grenade goes off to the right about 45 degrees and lands in a pool. Why the FUCK do you spawn in the room aimed off to the right?? And no pointer for the grenade? How fucking hard is it to throw something directly in front of you?? Pretty fucking hard, if you're playing RE4.
The controls just suck ass. They're much slower than your reflexes, and for a Shooter, that's Bullshit. Ever turn around and hit a button, but nothing happens - because you didn't wait until you finished turning around? And PS2/3 thumbsticks don't do anything in the first third or the last third of it's movement; there's just a tiny area of analog movement. It may as well be a button. I hope it's better on Gamecube.
And having to wait until the little icon of your button displays on your screen before you can do anything, like jumping off a ledge?? And you have to stand in just the right place too?!?
Why the HELL do you have to wait until RE tells you that you can duck, kick or jump??
