Damn you Nintendo, what have you done to my Samus...

Continuing my ever so popular series on how much Wii pisses me off, I bring you this ever so slightly 'late to the party' rant on terrible character models.

I mean if it wasn't bad enough that Nintendo is making me play the next installment of my beloved Metroid with outdated graphics, what they've done to Samus in Smash Bros. Brawl is unforgivable. Un-freakin-forgivable! Zero Suit Samus hurts me eyes, I wanna cry...

I have no words to describe how disappointed I am in that model of Samus Aran. Not only is it terrible art design, but she is an ass kicking bounty hunter, dammit! Not some prissy Mushroom Kingdom Princess (sorry Peach, you know I love ya!). It's just when I think of Samus under that Phazon Suit I think of someone more like Alyx:

I know, I know. How many times must I bring her up. It's just I haven't been that smitten with a game character since Meryl in MGS. Is it wrong to be in love with a fictional video game character, even to the detriment of real life relationships? Okay, don't answer that. And hey, at least I've gotten over my "if only Hermione was a few years older" phase.

Man, I also must remember to NOT post pictures of a sweet 2-year-old PC game next to pics of future Wii games. How ever much I like Nintendo, and how ever much I want a Wii, the contrast is too painful to bare.
