The look has always been the same i dont know why you are complaining i think the WII version has been the best metroid game i have played in my life and if you have played metroid for the super nintendoand passed it you can see that in one part of the games she is without her suit and they show her as a hot blonde with kick ass abilities and that even if she doesnt have her suit she can still kick ass.
