An all new season of... Beat the Geeks!

I know the 'new' season started two weeks ago, but it's just now that posting here is so much fun...

I was disapointed they changed hosts, but at least the geeks were the same. There was also a change in format for the first round. It now involves the geeks, but on a downside each contestant only has 4 questions to ring in on to move on to the next round. Coollio was hillarious though when the Music geek couldn't name two of his albums...

But what do *you* think of these changes?

actually I think the show is boring,but didnt they switch the movie geek as well as the host? Speakin of the host,I found it funny that they found the first host not geeky enough.

Apparently his black horn rimmed glasses weren't geekish enough...

I quit that show after I stomped the Simpsons geek into the ground... Plus, The Price Is Right is the ONLY gameshow for me.

Yeah ive seen a couple eps of the new season, lowsy summer. I think the new host is genuinely geeky while the last one was just a little geeky. I dont watch much prime time anything nowadays, especially tv past 10PM, so Ill just catch it if i wake up early enough in the afternoon.

I've made mistakes. I've done some things that I wish I could go back and change; but now I'm here and I know that I can learn from those things that I've done.

Well thankfully it isn't on during Prime Time... (7:30E/6:30C).

I still enjoy it. It's the only gameshow I ever watch. Worst part is it's "Price-is-Right" rule though. Where in a tie there is a question where the answer is a number, and whoever is closer without going over moves on. If that isn't bad enough, if both go over they say "Ops, in that case we'll just take the closer anwer." Not cool...

i've never seen this show as being anything other than painfully annoying. And it leaves me pondering whether or not the geeks are given the answers or not or else these people are some really big losers.

They are just a testament that geek stereotypes across the globe are not unjustified.

And I kicked that Simpsons Geek's ass too. He was such a dumbass! They didn't even ask him difficult questions!

I never saw the one with the simpsons geek but im sure he was just one of the contestants and they were surprised he knew that maggie shot mr. burns. I think most of us could beat some of the newer writers on the Simpsons at a geek off.

I've made mistakes. I've done some things that I wish I could go back and change; but now I'm here and I know that I can learn from those things that I've done.

I thought the Simpsons geek was a joke too.... But I think it just was the questions were too easy. He did get, "What is the name of Ned Flanders' grill?" and, "What brand of meals does Mrs. Krapapple eat?" Did you? That first one is especially tough.... Yet he got it so he really did know his stuff.


Hmm, I noticed today they tweeked it a little more. A new music geek? The host also was not wearing a suit for the first time since he took over....
