I occasionally see its and pieces of it...I just can't stand this show anymore. For one thing, they never show the audience...I don't even think there is a studio audience, although contestants have referred to the cheering of the audience before. Most of the things the contestants say sound incredibly scripted..you can't tell me that the rejects who repeatedly miss some of the easiest trivia questions in the history of trivia are actually witty. Which brings me to my final point, the trivia. For anyone unfamiliar, at the end of the show, there's someone who's about to win $25,000, but they have to get the 'dog-pound' (the rejects that couldn't climb the fake tree) to answer three questions wrong. These are some of the easiest questions you could ever be asked, especially if you have any clue about anything in the world.
I recall one question, "Who was the last leader of the Soviet Union before it's disbanding?" The contestants answer? Bin Laden. That's just a slap in the face of anyone who knows anything. More questions, keeping up with more current topics - "At 100 years old, he's the oldest member of the senate in it's history." Her answer? Nothing at all. STROM THURMOND, YOU STUPID BITCH! And finally, the one that set me over the edge, "This 2002 Olympian won the gold medal in speed skating after a korean competitor was disqualified for blocking him." Well, she started to talk her way thru it. First of all, she said "It was a man," after the question clearly stated that. Anyways, her answer was Como...and naturally, it was fucking Apollo Anton Ohno.
Sweet cherries, I really honestly despise most of America's population sometimes. |

| I knew 0 of the 3 questions, but I did know Bin Laden wasn't the answer to one of them...but...which...one? Eh what do you expect from a guy that never watches CBS or ABC, only watches NBC (rarely) for a couple shows, and the closest thing to news taken in is the Daily Show. At least I use big words and can analyze problems from a logical standpoint. Nuts to current events. |

| Yeah, I think I was being a little harsh, but still...I guess you'd have to sit through a show to understand why it gets me so worked up. |

| Im pretty sure all game shows nowadays suck. Though I would like to see Bonzai once and a 90's version of Let's Make a Deal. |

I'm in the same boat as you on the Tom Green thing, bone. I never really went out of my way to watch it, but when I skimmed by and it was on, I surely stopped by.
And hooray for TDS! They won two emmys, am I right? |

| Yeah Tom's getting axed was stupid but let's face it, that show was doomed from the getgo. I am reminded of last year when VH1 gave Zack Galifianakis his own late night show. Incredibly funny shit, and DOA within 2 months but at least he got to do We're Cancelled Week, thanking VH1 for canning him so we could have more reruns of I Love The 80's... that reminds me. They are advertising I Love The 80's Strikes Back and you know what that means: The doctor from the Love Boat is gonna discuss the oeuvre of the Police Academy series!!! |
