Quote: The Phantom console will support PC games, games on-demand. game rentals and upgrades. The system boasts to be the fastest system on the market and will come packed with pre-loaded games for your gaming enjoyment. As mentioned in the past, the Phantom is an always on broadband device, which allows gamers to access downloads, demos and massive multiplayer on-line play.
The main feature include: State of the art design and technology Pre-Loaded games that appeal to wide variety of users and gaming needs Ability to download more games than offered by other game consoles Leading edge peripherals Seamless Upgraded and patch management's
The standard console include the following: Custom OS on Windows XPe kernal Up to 3.0 GHz processor with 256MB High-Performance nVida video card High Performance Intel motherboard Dolby Digital 7.1 Surround Sound 100+ Gigabyte internal storage device On-board RF Wireless modules S-video, RCA or component video and PAL 10/100 baseT Ethernet 1 Wirless controller 4 controller ports Wireless keyboard and mouse 2 USB ports 12' Port Extension Cable
Remember this is just prototype of what it might be like. It could change, and no price is given. That's all fine and well, but for one does it only play 'games-on-demand'? Forget that. I'd like hardcopy of games and not just something I downloaded. Since it plays PC games which don't have licensing fees to make money from, either the system is damn expenive or they will make it from the fact you have to d/l the games from them. Anyways...

| Heh I knew you would keep going back to gamerfeed regardless of their look. I also read this headline. I think EGM stated that you can download games on demand or purchase a game and download it to your hard drive. Im sure there will be hard copies, but I wont be interested in this thing unless I see some exclusive games worth getting for it. |
