Well I knew the N-Gage was going to do poorly, but I had no idea it would do THIS poorly. Basically...the entire district that my gamestop is located in has not a single n-gage preorder. This is a bad thing because we're only selling them on preorders at first. It's just really really sad and pathetic. In fact, today I tried pitching the n-gage to every customer that came in. I ALMOST GOT A GUY TO RESERVE ONE! He was looking in the book and everything :( . I made my own little tag that said "Ask me about the n-gage!" and I put all the n-gage promotional stuff near the register. Some kid asked for a game we didn't have and my co-worker said "nope but we do have reserves for the n-gage." This method is a sharp contrast to my usual apathy towards the thing. I still stand by my disrespect for it, but man was it funny trying to get people to pre-order one.

It's really simple, I'm not paying $300 for ANY game system, let alone a portable.

And I bitched and cried about paying $99 for a GBA

The only way N-gage is interesting is if you're in the market for a new handheld system AND a new cellphone. And how many people can even say that much? Niche is an understatment.

A year from now most people get an SP or PSP, and say N-Gage who? (Though you can BET Nintendo's new hardware to be shown this spring WILL be a new handheld to help compete against the PSP, or at least it better be for their sake.)
