Just a reminder that Andy makes his return to network TV tonight (Wednesday) at 8:30 Eastern. (Right after Simple Life 2, and right before Simple Life 2... and Method & Red.)

There was a review in today's paper. Not good. It states that it's sure to draw fans of Andy from his Control the Universe days (and Conan days), but this new show is the complete opposite. Where ARCTU was creative, this show is as formulistic as they come. Dammit! We'll, I'll still watch... the first episode at least.

At least Monk returns this Firday... cough./

So he's the father of five boys, all quintuplets, and they're just entering highschool AND they all happen to have completely different personalities?

That was one of the worst things I've ever seen on TV. See, the joke is that Andy Richter is old and a parent BUT HE ATE THE DRUG BROWNIE AND GOT HIGH ON DRUGS!!!!!

Ugh, and they had to resort to the tired "kids have a party when the parents leave them alone" storyline on the FIRST FUCKING EPISODE... This show isn't making it past episode three.

MY GOD was that aweful! Like Tork hinted at, I don't know who to feel sorrier for, me for having to watch that travesty or Andy who really looked like someone who KNEW that the show was shit, but was going through the motions anyways.

Bad jokes. Bad laugh track. Bad EVERYTHING! I can't even use a quote to illustrate it because I'm trying so hard to repress it all. They used EVERY sitcom cliche in the book. And I'm still trying to figure out how we're supposed to believe all those kids (3 boys, 2 girls) are all related as quintuplets.

The sad thing is Fox already has this listed on their fall schedule. I doubt it makes it. For our sake.... AND Andy's... Bring back his old show dammnitall!

My god Im glad I was working at the time and didn't have to watch this travesty. I'll take your words for it that it sucked. It reminds me of a show last season about some really unfortunate people...It had a bad laugh track and tried to immitate old sitcoms but it just came off REALLY unfunny and annoying. From the creators of the simpsons? Im guessing Mike Reiss had nothing to do with that crap.

I think the show you're thinking of Hybrid was called "The Pitts" (too easy so add your own smartass comment here). That show might of been the worst show I've ever seen. Yes, worse than Quintuplets. Why? The Pitts was annoying like you say. So annoying I wanted to kill someone. Quintuplets just makes me want to turn the channel... fast.

Yeah that show was the pi....oh I get it. It really was that terrible and I don't care to cite why because that would mean I'd have to relive that one episode I watched.

Man surfing around on some message boards showed me how much Andy's old show was loved. Why did it ever get cancelled?

Anyway, look what I found out:

Marc Cuban's HDnet television network currently airs previously unaired episodes of Andy Richter Controls the Universe on Mondays at 9 PM ET (airs again at midnight).

Somebody start some form of petition to bring it back!!!

Yeah, I saw that the other week. I would've posted it, but I'm still vindictive becuase I don't have that channel. Also, there was no need to cause such pain to the other board members .

Grrr... For once I agree with "Justin". I was much happier NOT knowing Andy was out there, and worse yet, with episodes I haven't seen. Thanks a lot Torkass. Come on DVD where are you!

Don't ask why, but I saw his new show again tonight. It's like a glass of spoiled milk when you go back for another taste just to make sure it's spoiled, knowing full well it is, but you do anyways... and Quintuplets was just as bad, yet worse. "Who ordered the shrimp?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Brillient!

I too would like a dvd since I don't have this channel either. I don't have much else to contribute to this thread...hmm...oh, does anyone know how much his role sucked in New York Minute? Don't we already have a thread about that...

In better Andy news, it seems in this week's brand new episode of Crank Yankers (Comedy Central), Andy will be one of those lovable puppets, I mean pranksters. I'm not a fan of the show, but if Andy's on, I'll watch!

In related news, Dave Chappelle has siged on for 2 more 13-episode seasons of the Chappelle Show, for a cool 50 mill. Wow. He should change, "I'm FILTHY rich bitch!"

He's also on the cover of next week's TV Guide for some reason. The bad though is, of those 13, 2 (?!) will be best-of shows and one will be devoted to music. Hopefully those numbers are 'off' a bit.

Luckily for myself, this Andy Richter bit on Crank Yankers was the last of the show, so I caught it by accident. Sure, it was Andy and all, but...I don't find Crank Yankers very funny. Oh well, at least he wasn't on as "the guy who farts a lot and craps his pants LOLOL."

so 9 real episodes? Jesus. I tend to change the channel once the musical guest comes on. I hope they don't do one of those Charlie Murphy things again. It was funny when it was just one skit, but an entire episode? No thank you. Also the 2nd season had a lot less original characters and a lot more of Dave acting out stuff he normally would in his stand up acts. I want to be offended and I want to laugh. Let's try to keep that up.

Oh this thread is about Andy. Well he's cool and I didn't see crank yankers because I don't turn on the TV unless Im eating something or what's on is something animated.
