They cancelled unscrewed? NOOO! ...though I can't say I ever really watched it.
But G4 is killing TechTV. All that's left worth watching is X-Play. They have practically destroyed The Screen Savers with these latest changes. Pulse was cancelled too (so the hosts could do TSS). Anime Unleashed pissed me off (See Bacons). Icons is worth watching but they have a new episode every 4 months.
I'm just hoping their coverage of E3 is good to help make up for it and MAYBE it puts the channel on the right path to being good. It had potential but so far... yuck! |

Well it's official, G4 has in fact killed TechTV.

WTF?! To make it worse, guess what the 4 G's of G4 now stand for: games, gear, gadgets, and girls. Girls? What is this? 7th grade? No, I don't swing that way, but crap like that isn't going to save a network about games and technology. In fact it just makes us gamers look more pathetic. Thanks a lot G4.

| I haven't seen G4 in awhile and hearing that unscrewed and pulse is canceled doesn't want to make me want to start watching again. the screen savers is complete crap now and if the hireups really think that gamers would watch a show about video game chicks then i rather not be a gamer. perhaps a player... wait that show sucks too... damn you G4!!! |

I still don't have G4 and I still don't care. However the whole women in G4 thing is really a desperate call for ratings. Sex is always the last resort...though often the first resort for those that won't try. |

I know I talked to someone around here about this, but there is an ep of Judgment Day where in the same ep Tommy T. gives Paper Mario 2 a score of 5.0, he gave Shark Tales and The Incredibles like a 7.5-8.0! WTF you say? Well I jokingly suggested maybe he bases the score on if he knows someone who helped develope the game...
Well, I was doing my usuall flipping and saw the same ep at the point where Tommy discusses The Incredibles... and he admited he's old friends with the guy who did the sound for the game and movie! AHHH!
Anyways, good to see G4's "Cheat" get a new host. A good looking female who's resume includes being an American Idol finalist and a back-up singer to Lindsay Lohan. Nice. Can't wait to hear her describe how to kill El Gigante in RE4... I mean even EGM finally woke up and is getting rid of its cheat section. |

| Hey, cheats are still good for those rentals when you want to try everything out, or to show secrets that you just couldn't find. Personally I don't remember the last time I used it...I think maybe it helped me find an item in Fable after I beat it but then again, I stopped playing pretty soon after beating it. |

There's nothing wrong with cheats (ONCE YOU BEAT A GAME), but that's what Game FAQs is for. Not some TV show that has polls on your favorite cheat codes... Wow! God mode won again!
But G4 isn't all bad. TSS showed me today how to encode your DVDs for play on PSP.
And even better, this Wednesday on Cinematech they will spend the whole time showing OLD game commericlas. I'm talking Atari era commercials. That might be something cool to watch for once. |

Sigh... G4 needs to be stopped before they ruin the network and it's shut down... Opps, too late.
Now it seems The Screen Savers is no more. It hasn't been cancelled, just getting a name change to:
Attack of the Show
I kid you not. It's a failed attempt at trying to be hip that instead just comes off as super gay.
Well, it could be an early April Fools joke. The change starts Mon March 28 and that Friday will be April 1st... at least we can hope it is. I mean the show is already a shell of its former self thanks to G4's "changes", but I still tune in here and there. I don't think my brain can handle that name though.
On the plus side, I can watch the rest of ROD and never have to tune in again! (Well, maybe for the occastional Xplay.) Oh, Gmail has gone public! |

I'm sure none care, but I did watch Attack of the Show today, and if we can ignore for just one second how lame the name is, let's look at the show itself.
It sucks! ....wait, I said move past the name, sheesh.
Anyways, the show itself isn't much different from what TSS was, at least how TSS was 2 weeks ago. It has the same hosts as 2 weeks ago. The Kevins, Sara, and some other guy. It has a new 'hipper' set, but that's about all that's really changed. It's still a shell of its former self.
Today they did build a working 8 foot long NES controller that was kind of funny watching the 2 Kevins try to work together to play SMB on it. And before they would have an unknown band come in on Friday, well today they had on Real Big Fish! I guess they have a new album coming, and based on the song they played, I wouldn't be too excited about it...
Anyways, I'll tune in again tomorrow at least. Mainly because TOM FUCKING GREEN will be on! Hey, it's something. |

The last RBF album was really good, but really UN-skatastic. Another such album would be a big dissapointment.

The last RBF was good, but that was just odd. Maybe because I first hear it being performed live? I dunno. I've seen RBF live plenty of times. And it was just one song...
And Tom Green is funny bitch!

I hate bringing back this thread, but after a pretty good showing of E3, G4 has slipped again! Though I guess it's not their fault Kevin Rose has left Attack of the Show (though he was smart to get off that sinking ship...).
So this leaves Keven P, Sara, and that other guy? Wow... I did see this week Sessler was guest co-hosting, but that won't last. He needs to say on Xplay anyways. Which really is the last good show left now that it seems AotS (formally The Screen Savers) is no longer worth watching even 5 minutes...
But hey, some vitual padgent show is coming soon! |

Small upadte, not on the beauty padgent tonight, even if seanbaby is a judge, nor the fact Spike TV is airing the E3 awards live tonight (11:25 est), but that today on Attack of the Show the special guest is...
