G4 tv is teh sux!!1

i come back from school and what do i find? i find my beloved tech tv has merged with some video game channel and formed G4 tech tv. i've been watching their shows and i'm not impressed. they're just so boring and make me not want to play another video game. i mean cheat! who needs a show about video game cheats? i don't think i've ever found playing in God Mode fun since i was 5, all the best cheats were on the NES with the konami code anyways. and then that show arena, ugh why do i want to see average gamers play video games? if they're gonna have people compete, they should be some of the best gamers, like team3d against NiP, or like that fatal1ty guy, not some average joe schmoes off the street. the hosts are boring also. and i guess their flagship show is the g4tv.com show, i don't like it much. there's no chemistry between the hosts, they're always just talking over each other, and they don't seem very knowledgable and they definitely do not know how to conduct an interview, they always cut off people and they bring on stupid kids who call in and ask the dumbest stuff. also the production values seem to be low overall. the sets are terrible, i think they should spend a little less time playing video games and more time in the production room. also they're not very informative, i'm just not compelled to watch, i rather just goto ign.com and read their articles. also i don't find the hosts likable, tech tv's video game show, extended play is much more enjoyable. adam sessler and morgan webb have a great chemistry together and they have some pretty funny bits, G4's shows just don't come close. so bottom line with G4 programming is the shows aren't very informative and the hosts are boring so i have no reason to watch the G4 shows. the only show i like from G4 has to be the Icons show, it's neato to hear about the history of all the big characters, systems and people in video game history. i miss my old techtv, i'd trade cheat! arena, g4tv.com and all that other stuff for call for help, big thinkers, techlive any day of the week.

Starcade made for some good watching. Tina Wood from G4tv.com is incredibly hot (ok, she's no Morgan Webb, but who is...) and the show itself isn't too offensive (in comparison to tripe like Filter). I don't have G4 anymore, so I don't know if they carried over the good Tech TV shows like Extended Play, but as long as Tommy Tallarico and the guy who isn't Tommy Tallarico got their stupid show canned, I can die happy.

I can't disagree... G4 pretty much sucks. Cinematech just shows game demos over and over. Portal is the gamer's answer to MST3000, except MUCH gayer (I didn't think that was possible either). The episode of Pulse I saw wasn't bad though. It's basically their weekly news show, and they had this cool feature on Homestar Runner.

Tommy... hmm. Are those the guys that do reviews on Judgement Day and Electric Playground? If so, they're still on. While I can understand why you might not like a remake of a game (MGS:TTS), he seemed to hate it for the mere fact a Mario statue was on someone's desk in the game. Wow...

Is Tina that girl with the bleeched-white hair and nose-ring? I hope not. She scares me... I feel sorry for Morgan, not because she has to work with Adam, but every game-geek living in their basement drools all over her... then again, can you blame them? ;)

X-Play (as Extended Play is now known) is still on, thank god. Sessler and Webb... Dik-Dik! I can't wait to see their PSA on the proper usage of the Nintendo Power Glove so you don't get sued for sexual harrassment...

I've still yet to see X-play because I think it's on some channel I dont have. Though I have no excuse for missing that EGM feature on CNN every thursday. Actually I guess my excuse is either work or what's the point?

Hmm, yeah.... I wonder what channel X-Play is on... I dunno, maybe the channel this freakin thread is about!

When is that EGM thing on Thursdays? There are ways to record programs that appear on your TV screen ya know.

EDIT: After reading this I thought, hmm, what's on G4techTV right now? Turns out Electric Playground is on. And what do I see? "Tommy" (or so the screen said) interviewing some guy at E3 about NBA Live, and he said, "Figures they'd have you doing this since it's a basketball game." Maybe I missed something, but did he say that because the guy was black?! WTF? The guy just said, "Ah yeah, I guess I am the basketball guy." Then later the other guy was interviewing some boxer and said, "So you've spared with such-and-such and whats-his-name." And the boxer was like, "Well no... I've never boxed whats-his-name." Man, what kind of interviewers are these?

bad, they are the bad kind. They should just get those people from Mad TV that interview the stars at award shows. This way we don't expect credibility or a respectul portrayal of the event.

speaking of x-play, i just got this month's new maxim and damn is morgan webb hot. made me nut my pants like 5 times, she's just not hot for a gaming geek but hot period. and that tina chick doesn't even come close, she's cute, but not hot. and that other one, she makes my weiner shrivel up into my body, ugh. and yeah bone that is the tommy, so god damn annoying him and his partner, the uh... other guy. they always pick out the smallest things and make the biggest deals over them, i don't know if that's supposed to be funny, it just annoys the hell outta me.

Yes, those shows do suck. But to be fair, Anime Unleashed and the Thunderbirds are TechTV holdovers, not G4 trash.

How the fuck can G4 be advertising for G-Phoria, and having nomination shows, when there isn't even a set date for it yet! WTF? All they say is late August. Nice.

why the hell does G4tv.com need a week to make complete crap and x-play is pure gold on a daily basis? i mean honestly it's not like if they have any segments or anything, they just have idiotic banter the whole show. on the other hand, it's probably for the best that it only comes on once a week.
