| I dont download big movies, sorry. Anyways I dont mod systems but I do want to mod my dreamcast to play imported games. I do know that you can mod an xbox to play all dvd regions with a mere "Agent Under Fire" game save on a memory card. Don't ask me why. I also know you can just rent games and rip them to massive, custom hard drives. Oh you devils. |

Excuse my ignorance, but what is Halo NMP?
If you want to mod to play inports, go ahead. But if you want to do it to play "back-ups", then I hope an anvil falls on your head... As for DC, can't you just use that infamous boot disc to play inports? |

| Yeah nbrid, go to one of those Dreamcast hacking sites of any are still up and burn yourself a boot disc. ebgames sent me one with the Euro Shenmue 2 and it works well. There's another out there that lets you play mpegs too. |

...you got shenmue 2?
I remember back when I was using Dreamcast for all my internet needs. Spaceworld came around and I really wanted to see video clips of this new "Gamecube" thing. I somehow managed to watch a very short clip of Samus running through a tunnel. I forget what type of media it was but it was the only time I saw some kind of video play through my DC browser.
You're right, I could just use that disc, but if my dreamcast really is dying I should just get a modded one. Plus it's cooler! I don't know why Im even thinking about doing such things since I already have way more games to play than I can handle.
Keeping on topic, people that mod xboxes to play backup games suck. |

Halo NMP is a fan made mod for Halo that is basically 13 new multiplayer maps, Our goal is to make a full set of maps that look and feel like they could have been b-sides to the original halo, so far we have some kickass maps completed and available in NMP version 1.1, version 1.2 will be released soon and we're including some new maps and some re-built versions of older ones, here's the list for nmp 1.2 so far
Galite 2
Skytore 2
Foxfire
Vengeance
The Chapel
The Hangar (i'm particularly proud of this one)
Crossfire
there will be more to come, we're also working on single player maps converted to Mp playable arenas.
for more info head over to files.halomods.com and scroll down to the NMP section. |

| No offense, but I would finish these up soon since Halo 2 will be out in November. I can only assume that a dedicated online game with no need for loopholes or tunneling will be more widely accepted than fan made maps. Though the idea is cool, it's unfortunate that it will eventually be overshadowed. |

I see. Interesting... I guess all the former DC owners did go to Xbox.
Since this was mainly for hardcore hobbiests to begin with, I don't think Halo 2 will have as much of an impact as you think. Plus it's valuable experience for when Halo 2 does come out... for those interested in such a thing. And who's to say Halo 2 will be the game of the year anyways. It might not be... riiiight. And PSO3 will be instead... |

| Well obviously Halo 2 will be the unquestioned best seller this year, followed by GTA. After that it's anyone's guess. Im going to bank on Madden and then NFSU2. In a perfect world, Metroid Prime 2 and Paper Mario would be right after that...or before it. Also Halo 2 will have an impact on these hobbyists but im sure the quest will go on in small doses. |
