The third dimension. Many have recorded its existence and spoke of it in theory, but none have actually been able to record anything from it. Until now. With an incredibly expensive camera and 3 different kinds of flash, I have managed to capture a partially rendered living organism from the "third dimension." Through careful study, I have decuced that the creator or spiritual diety of this dimension must have put well over 20 hours into the creation of this rare specimen. Before scampering off in the distance, I could hear him mutter "I'll have twice as many polys next week!" Such language is not distinguishable and its significance is irrelevant. Here are my findings:

Not a bad start, but who is he? What happened to his right eye? And why does he have on a gold braclet? Is everything you do green or blue now?

well the model is finished but I haven't been able to render it with the camera angles like those images above. It always uses a black background which makes things hard to distinguish. I know there's got to be some way to change the background color. Also the final version will use textures so the colors aren't that important. I've changed the colors numerous times but I think I have a decent one now. I actually thought about using red for this guy just because I never use red in my characters but it just didn't work.

Hmm, here's an update. The model is pretty much done. I do want to tweak one element though. I need to create surface textures but before I do that, I need to put in the bones so I can animate him. Once that's done, I can pose him in a few badass poses and then plop them in this thread. He looks so much better now...Oh and he has HUGE titties.

The model looks really great, and I like the look of terror on its face (did it see me flex maybe?).

Well the model should be completely done by next week as I start animating it soon. I'll post a render or 2 of him now that I'll be able to pose him with his bone structure.

UPDATE: I believe he is complete. I haven't finished his bone structure and I still might tweak the textures, but for the most part, this is him. He'll look better when he's not in that pose and his face looks less "taking it." As I'm animating, I'll probably take some frames and post them here. I'd love to post the movie but...it will have to fit on a DVD just to store it. That should put things in perspective.
Oh yeah, scope out the logo on the vest. He's a fucking tool! |

Well I've been having a pain in the ass time putting in this guy's bones, fixing his "weight maps" and tweaking his overall model. Oh don't even get me started on his fingers! Well I figured you all could use an update. No that's a lie, I got tired of trying to animate the first couple SECONDS of his walk so I played around with my "morph maps" and modified the initial pose of the movie. This one here is "the grin" and the EEE sound. Things are dimly lit because I got tired of playing around with the light.

Ok well the movie has about...8 more seconds left to go (32 seconds are "done"). This is actually ripped right from the animation. I wanted to test the new light that I put DIRECTLY INTO HIS EYE. It took a little while to figure out the best way to do this, but it basically moves alongside the eye "bone." Yes the eye has a bone. Anyways it turns red for his angry/evil personality and blue for his regular one. The addition of blue actually came when I noticed that setting the light to a negative intensity produced a blue light.
The lighting, camera, and facial expressions aren't set, but I think the shot is interesting regardless. What is he about to do? WHO KNOWS!?
