You're diasppointed with the new SoaD? I have to say I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure I'd like having that other guy sing more, but I did in the end. I's almost a compromise between the more spastic System of a Down and the more 'listenable' Toxicity.

Though I guess they do say diff'rent stroke for diff'rent folks.

It's a good album, but after about four years since their last release, I was expecting a little more. I was thinking these two albums were going to be actual full length albums. There is only 37 minutes worth of music on the first disc, yet they are still trying to get full price for it. If the other disc is about the same length, they could have shaved a few of the crappy songs, put it all on one disc, and called it a day, instead of sticking us for another disc... they'll probably have a "limited edition" version of both albums in time for Xmas. Thats mostly the fault of their label I'm sure, but after four years, I just expected more I guess. It does have some good songs on it, it's just too short.

I haven't heard the new SoD or Audioslave... and thanfully neither the new Limp Biskit (who knew?). What I have heard new...

Gorillaz: Demon Days. I think it's pretty good. It's not good in the same way their first CD was, this one is "moodier" and more laid back, but there are some really cool tracks. Of course Feel good Inc is an aswesome track, but there are also some odd things like Dennis Hooper... But DJ Danger Mouse doeas a good job in place of Dan the Automater. Plus any album with the Happy Mondays Shaun Ryder (and MF Doom!) is a nice bonus.

I was disappointed in the Special Edition version. It was 'only' 3 bucks more, but all the DVD really has is the vid for Feel Good (and animatics and commentary). The packaging is cool, but... still a disappointing set since they could of done so much cool shit with the Gorillaz guys.

The new Gorillaz is pretty well awesome. I didn't bother with the deluxe edition because you usually get kinda gipped on those things. And I can totally understand where you're coming from about the SoaD album soul.

Yea I liked the first Gorillaz, I'll have to pick it up. That's some creative music right there, refreshing in todays shitty ass music scene.

One question, how is Coheed and Cambria popular in any way shape or form? Klam, care to comment?

I heard some of the new gorrilaz yesterday. I don't think it sounded all too original or GOOD compared to previous stuff.

Well I just picked up the new Alkaline Trio cd. I didn't even know one was coming out so soon. I've listened to it a couple times, but since I'm no longer 35 minutes away from work, I don't have that outlet needed to really appreciate a new cd. Oh well, I'll just keep listening to it over and over again until I get a feel for it. Bottom line is, it's good. I don't know how good yet, but it's definately not the sharp drop Goldfinger made with their latest offering. The trio actually seems to become LESS catchy and use more instruments (including a piano) to really bring something original to the mix. One thing I've always thought about them is no matter how different their songs sound, most of them all have a familiar feeling. This cd almost sounds like a different band at times.

Good for now, seems to have potential for greatness.

When does the new Motion City Soundtrack come out? Or did you (I) miss that too? Right now I'm waiting for new Foo Fighters in 2 weeks, and Billy Corgans solo album in 3 weeks.

last time i checked, it wasnt listed for a release date. I can check again. It would be pretty amazing if 3 of my favorite bands released cds all in the first half of this year.
