Their first album was really good and most people who don't like it either haven't heard it or hate their "image" or whatever.

Their new album is like some ridiculous throwback to Sgt Pepper's and the amazing thing is that not only is it not an embarrassment to it's influences, but it's a pretty fucking great homage to 60's sunshine pop.

Give this track a listen:

and tell me it's not good.

New NUFAN album. After... whatever it was they released last time I'm pretty happy with this. It starts out with the fastest song they've written since Making Friends, which is fun. Check it out!

I'm not a Panic at the Disco hater (I mean come on, I'm a big Fall Out Boy fan), I just didn't think much of what I heard. Which ok, wasn't much. And I must say, I still find it hard to believe its the best in years, but that song you link is pretty damn cool.

NUFAN, didn't know that was out yet... cough/

Okay, so I was exaggerating a little. Who are you? The hyperbole police?

Yeah I wasn't a fan of the last No Use cd and it was a disappointment compared to the 2 they released before it. If the new one is a return to glory I'll have to check it out. Stupid FYE next to our store closing down. I know they jack up their prices but buying stuff right when it came out wasn't too bad Sad

It's uhh... not really a return to anything. It's just an album with a great opener and a few good songs. Maybe it's better than it is, but I guess I just don't care about this band as much anymore. They've released their great albums and they're never going back to that place again.

Download it or something. Save your money for like Bomb the Music Industry! or some shit.

I'm a bit late on this one, but I must say I really like the new Weezer single Pork and Beans... It's a good sign the red album will be better than the last two. Though I'm one of those weirdos who have liked every Weezer album, just to varying degrees.

It's so bad! How do people like this? It sounds like another one of Rivers' desperate attempts to string along the nerd contingency by reassuring everyone that he's just like them... except they don't have the millions of dollars, mansion, attractive wife, wildly popular band, rocket car...

Granted the lyrics aren't great, I'll give you that. But what should he sing about? Bush is almost out of office so what's the point... I still like the song:)

I think he should suck it up, release Songs From the Black Hole and then fall into one.

At any rate your post did inspire me.

If you're so inclined.

Huh, I'm a bit late seeing that. So I'll just say it first to get it out of the way:

Fuck you, I like Weezer's new album.

It's a little cheesy, but it's fun. My biggest complaint is I like the faster paced remix of Automatic better (see GT5p), but I still even like that song. I won't compare it to other Weezer albums because that's when you get into trouble. Instead I'll just enjoy the new red album of Weezer music, and this video of Tay Zonday and Brian Bell...

Hey now, I LOVE the new Weezer cd!! Heck, even my wife, who doesn't care much for the, is in love with this cd. She bought me the Deluxe version and the extra songs are worth the extra greens. Ms. Sweeny, Pig, and King all ROCK. This is definitely a different cd, but it still rocks.

Got the new LTJ album signed by the full band at last night's show, which Goldfinger totally stole by the way. They played one new song, Open Your Eyes and the rest of their entire set were nothing but classics (complete with a full fucking brass section). We got Question, Chris Cayton, Mable, Here in Your Bedroom, Superman, Miles Away, Anxiety (!!!!!!!), Counting the Days, a cover of Knowledge, 99 Red Balloons WALKING IN THE DARK and a few other songs.

Even though I'm not really into them anymore it was nice to be reminded why I used to be. Even though I think I'm getting a little too old for the show scene but I'm glad I went to this.

I hope the Trio deliver the goods in a few weeks.

Hmm, is the new TLJ album any good? I didn't know Trio had a new one coming... I know Beck and Hold Steady are. Which shows where my head is.
