I think my skepticism about the Wii is all but gone. I'm still somewhat concerned that the system will get a deluge of mini/party/non games and the more 'traditional' games will suffer from annoying controls, but so far so good.
Despite my misgivings about allowing a bunch of 7-year-olds to play with my hard earned Wii, I took it along to my family's big Thanksgiving gathering, and Wii was a huge hit. (They even allowed us to play when football was on!) Everyone wanted to try out Wii Sports (in particular Tennis and Bowling, the best 2 on there). And it wasn't once they tried it they were like, eh that's pretty cool. They had a blast playing it and wanted to play more. That includes my aunt and uncles even. Heck, my dad likes it too though that might be more because he's somehow way too good at bowling and kicks everyone's ass, grrr. I think Nintendo sold at least a couple more Wiis after that (assuming they can find one).
Also, not a single person said a thing about the graphics (well, someone asked where there legs were in Bowling but that was it). That made me feel kind of shallow since I think they look like ass. But I'm past it (that's what the other system is for...). People also seemed to really like the whole Photo Channel thing (I guess when you have little kids you take a lot of pictures).
So in summary, it looks like Nintendo really has done what they wanted and released a system that changes the game by bringing everyone into the game. |

Too bad I have yet to really play Zelda any...
I've been hooked on Wii Sports! Tennis and Boxing are my favorites, followed by bowling, golf..and baseball.
She also bought me FF12 CE[well, we split the cost, lol]...and I am about to fight my first judge Gheist[s/p]. I heard he is a little tough, so I've just ran out and fought about 50 bad guys, racked up on LP and EXP, then walked back to the save point and recharged my peeps. Woot! I'm now level 17-18 across the board, and awaiting to open up a plus 500 HP squares for my peeps.
The Wii rocks! I haven't been this hyped for a system since the Dreamcast days... |

| Summary of lost post: So much has changed these days... excepts the Packers still suck. And the Wii rocks when playing with friends. Not so much alone (at least so far). |

Amazing! The internets on my Wii now!!! It's far from perfect (it's frozen on me twice and one of those times unsynched my remote), but yet again DC lives on. It's also only beta.
More useful than the forcast channel even with it's cool globe. |

| yeah its surprisingly enjoyable surfing with just a wiimote. You cant really make super long posts or talk online simultaneously...but it beats the SHIT out of the DC browser. Youtube sure has changed the face of the internet. Mmm it feels good to click things. |

The browser might be more useful if it had USB keyboard support. I mean why does Wii even have USB if you can't use a keyboard to type?
Though the remote can make flash games fun. Case in point, Duck Hunt!
