So I saw my Wii blinking. I figured either someone sent me a message or Nintendo has something to say (last time it was a reminder to get new Wii straps). I must say I never expected what it was... it was introducing the:
Everybody Votes Channel
Seriously? Who comes up with this stuff? Vote in 'this or that' polls like:
What's a better Valentine's Day gift: Chocolate or Roses
Where would you rather live: On a mountain or on a beach
What pet do you prefer: dogs or cats
So after a quick download you get to make your choice and then you also get to guess which will be the more popular choice. Then over time it will track how many you get "right", both world wide and regional (it made you pick which state you were from).
While pretty pointless, it's actually an interesting idea. I must say if Nintendo keeps coming out with cool, odd channels like this that would be pretty sweet. I know we all want a demo channel for at least DS games or a internet radio channel might be cool, but surprises like this are fun too. |

I really hope that people are smart enough to submit their own polls like:
Do you like friend codes? "no" or "of course not!"
Would you care if Smash Bros was online?
Why can't we release a demo of Mario Galaxy for christ's sake already!!??ad;ladf;lkja fpqaepoiua ;aflka

That's scary... the poll I submitted was:
The friend code system is... ? Terrible or Horrible
I'll have to do a Smash Bros. online one...
I'd take any demo right now just to get it started, though of course most demos have more content than some games costing $5 on the VC so that may be holding Nintendo back... |

| So me and a few friends all gathered around the tube and tried out the vote channel for the first time...I must say its pretty dumb. Apparently we have to wait 10 days just to know if the majority of people who own wiis have ever sent a fan letter. If we gotta wait so long then the questions should atleast hold some importance. Perhaps they will one day. |

Uhoh, my Wii started flashing so I checked my messages... new channel bitches!
Check Mii Out!
Seems you can browse other people's Miis (and upload your own), and it looks like there will even be contests you can enter (the first is Mario without his hat?).
So this is yet another pointless channel, but at the same time what makes Wii what it is. In a good way. Plus since I'm so lazy to actually make Mii's, I downloaded a few fun ones... Surprised at how many The Dude's I saw... |

| My wii memory is pretty filled up and I dont feel like storing games on my SD card so I opted to not buy this channel...yet. It actually seems pretty cool, but I really have no use for miis. I WOULD like to upload Mr. Tinklebean though. |
