So does every here care about about E3 as much as I do... As in couldn't care less? Because I didn't even realize there was going to be one. Even if I did I probably wouldn't have cared. Have I really fallen that far? I still play games here and there, but their mostly pick-up-and-play, casual non-games. Well, until Metroid that is (I assume it's still coming out this year...).

If anything interesting does happen, and I happen to notice, here's the place I'll discuss it with me, myself, and I.

Given I dont own any of the new systems ive pretty muchbecome obsolete. Wonder whats for the ds?

I watched all the conferences, seen a crapload of videos, and read numerous hands on reports as well as interviews. Nobody seems to like the new format. While things weren't as exciting as usual, we at home still got the influx of media that we usually get (only to a lesser extent). Here's what I learned/may have already known:

1. Mario Galaxy is going to be orgasmically fantastic.

2. Nintendo hates all of their fans.

3. Reggie is fat.

4. Call of Duty 4 may be the first war game I have to play based on graphics alone.

5. Killzone 2 is surprisingly good looking.

6. Penguins are the best animal to transform robots into ever.

7. Kaz Hirai is still a dick.

8. Peter Moore has run out of arms for his fake tattoos.

9. Jay Allard continues to roam the seas of Microsoft as most pirates do.

10. The wii zapper is swank despite being a total gimmic.

There's more but I can't think of anything right now.

1. Well, it will at least hopefully be good.

2. Not sure what specifically makes you say that, but besides the big 3, which should all be good, I was disappointed in the lack of something different and cool, other than that Wii Fit thing. A Touch Generation type game. Waggle Generation?

4. I'll probably pick up one shooter this fall, the question is which one...

Nintendo hating their fans is an exaggeration obviously, but I was referring to the fact that they keep saying how they are catering to the hardcore while all we see is a few sequels and the real innovation is going towards the non-gamers.

The penguin comment was about ratchet and clank. Not watching at least 2 videos of this game means you have to sell your PS3 immediately.

One thing this E3 definately did was justify my PS3 purchase. Not only will I have more games for it than my 360 by next year, I can also be satisfied that my hardware will properly play ps2 and psx games while all future systems will have the crappy software emulation.

And I don't know how innovate Wii Fit or the Zapper really are... which is the point since this is Wii after all and the whole point of Wii I thought was cool new games, not new sequels. Someone who recently just tried my Wii for the first time was surprised I had so few games for it, I just said talk to Nintendo...

I only watched/listened the Nintendo press thingy (as I was doing other things...), and it was quite boring. Seemed like Reggie, despite his very deliberate way of speaking, kept pausing waiting for some kind of crowd reaction, but usually, nothing...

If all they are going to do is the sequel game, at least give me Pikmin!


I didn't bother with Sony's (or obviously MS), but looking around a bit at PS3s showing there's definitely enough there to keep me busy... Maybe I'll use it for more than a media/ps2/download game device afterall.

All you need to know is to buy Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, and Assassin's Creed. I'm certainly buying more than that, but it's just foolish to own a ps3 and pass any of these up.

Nintendo showed us TWO new games we had never heard of and both of them had been rumored for months.

What 2 games? Wii Fit, and... ???

I do plan on R&C, probably Heavenly Sword, Assassin Creed not so sure about... add some shooting game (a good multiplayer one, a single player shooter I don't think I could get into if it isn't called Metroid...), add some downloaded games and that's my plan, I think. Since I really don't know what else is coming other than what you just named.

the other game i was referring to was Mario Kart. Again, we pretty much knew it was coming.

I have no less than 25 games reserved at the moment. I think maybe one of those is next year.
