I won't take up too much of your time. Just wanted to say, Smash Bros. is here again! Haven't played it too much yet, but so far feels very familiar, but in a good way. I've even played online with a certain someone from around here already, but besides the lag getting involved the lack of communication is a real downer. Eh, that's what AIM is for I guess.

So far I have to comment on one thing: What's the deal with timed demos for NES/SNES games? Remember Animal Crossing and its dozen FREE games? It would have been really cool to unlock NES games in Smash Bros since it's already pretty much a fan service game. But no. Thank you Virtual Console and your overpriced ways.

In any case, my friend code is as follows: 3136 6237 7653

So why don't you have it yet? Tork?

Why am I a baby?!? I would have been fine if there were no demos at all, just the fact that there are just seemed really odd to me... I'm not the world's biggest Smash Bros fan, but so far I'm quite happy with Brawl. I just wish online wasn't so weak.

I still only have 1 new character unlocked:( And 30% through Adventure Mode, plus I unlocked this character outside of this mode even... I'm trying to find others from work who I can exchange Friend Codes with. So far I'm up to 1 person, bringing my total to 2 friends. I'm so popular.

I beat adventure mode! On normal! I don't have 100% but I don't really care. That last boss was annoying as hell. Insta deaths ain't cool man. Though not as annoying as the times this mode forced you to play as a non-flying character...

There are still 3 or 4 more characters I need, and I'm not sure how many stages. Those are all I really care about. 100%ing this game is for people without jobs since there is just waaaay too much here.

So last night I'm talking with Hybrid and I ask him what's that cool song on the Swamp stage of subspace emissary? He says it's called Bramble Blast... I check again, and yeah I don't have that song unlocked:( So Hybrid tells me there's this stage you can create that helps you get CDs. He sends it to me and today I try it. I turn off all items but the sandbag, and I figure I'll try for 10 minutes. I get several stickers during this time, but only one CD... but it's BRAMBLE BLAST! WHOO! What some luck. Now I'm happy:) (Well I still need one more character and I think 2 stages...)

Yeah I wish we had that song unlocked at the store because I put the wii into music test mode every now and then. I believe the song is from Diddy's Kong Quest, from some bonus stage. I'd say pretty much all of the songs by Iwadare (Grandia guy) are awesome too. The Mario Golf/Tennis remix rocks as well.

Bramble Blast is a major fucking level from DKC. The bramble levels were the hardest ones in that entire game.

Like, the second I saw "bramble blast" in Bone's post I was like "oh god fuck that level." It was just an instinctive reaction.

I haven't played DKC since 7th grade.

Didn't mean to bring back so many bad memories...

On the plus side, I have now unlocked all characters and stages! (And demos...) Not sure what else there is to aim for, other than to improve my skill so I don't suck. I need to get better for our weekly Brawl matches at work... I have until next Tuesday to get 10x better.

I must have associated a level made entirely out of barrel shooting as a bonus stage. Boy it's been a while.

Yesterday I finally finished beating All-star mode with every single character. Now I have everyone's regular and final smash trophy. All that's left for me is...to get every single song, trophy, and sticker! Though I admit I won't be playing for hours a day anymore to accomplish this task. Maybe I'll play online some more.

I'm not getting Brawl but I have played it enough to lose interest.

I'm the biggest control stickler and the controls are too floaty, even for a Smash Bros game. Wario is slow and clumsier than Ganondorf. I couldn't imagine playing this online as there's enough lag when you're sitting right in front of the friggin game.

It must play like it's on a Dreamcast 56k online

Besides, owning it would mean me buying a Nintendo product, which you know I swore off doing! Viewtiful Joe is 9.99 on Player's Choice status at Best But though, hmmm....

It's always fun to read your impressions on things. I mean, do YOU even know what you're saying half the time?

I will say that lag can definately get annoying. Aside from playing with random people, the worst lag I've had has been with Bone.

Characters are "floatier" than in melee, but that's just one of many things that reverted back to the original game. Floatier characters + harder to knock people off the edge = more aerial fighting.
