Tournament Information
If you would like to take part in our NFL2K1 tournament, please sign-up
on the sheet. If you have any questions or comments on this tournament,
check out our NOG message
board. Please note that until the tournament starts, the following
may change at any time.

Format
- Round 1: Round-Robin Pool
- Players will be split into pools of teams based on location,
you will play everyone in your pool once.
- Games will be 5 minute quarters.
- Overtimes are not played. If after the 4th quarter the game
is tied, the game is called a 'Tie'.
- If both players agree that a game is unplayable (do to lag),
the game will be called a 'Tie'.
- You get 3 points for a win, and 1 for a tie. The top finishing
teams from Round 1 move onto Round 2.
- Ties in the pool standings will be broken by who had the larger
average margin of victory.
- However, if breaking said tie would have a 'major' effect (i.e.
the winner of the tie breaker would get a bye in Round 2, or the
loser would not make Round 2), a tie breaking game will take place.
- Round 2: Single Elimination Tournament
- TBD
Play
- Before the start of the tournament, an email will be sent to all
participants listing who is in each pool.
- You will be given a deadline by which time all games must be played.
Any games not yet played at that time, will in effect count as a lose
for both players (unless told otherwise). A second email will go out
during the tournament warning everyone about games that have yet to
be played.
- Based on your sign-up form, 'suggested' times to play each game
will be given in said email. Along with this, which player is the
'Visitor' and which is the 'Home' team will be set (determined by
random).
- The 'Home' team is responsible for emailing (emails will be listed
for all players) the 'Visitor' on which of the suggested times is
best for them. Then in turn, the 'Visitor' must respond saying they
agree, or suggest their own time. If none of the suggested times work
for you, you must decide upon another time with that player.
- Once a time has been set, you must show up for that game. If one
player does not show-up, or contact the other player that plans have
changed, within 15 minutes of the set time, the player that failed
to show forfeits the game.
- If you are having troubles agreeing on a set time, email bone@thissite.net
for help. You can also use the NOG message board to help you setup
your game times.
- Games in Round 1 can be played in any order.
- Round 2 will follow a similar format.
