And the Answers Were...

When you joined NBrid (What? You're not a member? Quick, go sign-up!) you had to answer two very important questions:

  1. Who is your favorite game designer?  Which of their accomplishments is your favorite?
  2. Which console has been your favorite so far, and why?

Some people have some excellent answers, and some have some very 'goofy' answers. So we decided to let every one else see what their fellow members had to say. I bet you wish you hadn't blown off those questions now...

Question 1:

Nappa: Miyamato is the father of modern gaming for me. I mean, he created Mario and Zelda, two of my favorites games, among others. I know the Dolphin or whatever it will end up being called will be great beacause I have never played a bad Nintendo developed game and I don't think there will be very many of them if any to come.

GMX: Miyamoto is..... (THE MAN) the creator of my favorite series EVER zelda and he also created Mario :). Without miyamoto i would probably not be as big of a fan of nintendo today :D.

lilwayne: (Miyamoto) a role model and my favorite of his acomplishmentes is zelda 2

esss: Shigeru Miyamoto has provided me with a vehicle to leave my everyday existence. Not only with the characters he has created but with the universe that is gaming in general. With his mastery of this universe it gives me great pleasure to put a Mario World cart in my snes or zelda cart in my gameboy color. his most crowning acheivment to date in my opinion is the, universe of all that is, MARIO.

slp_frk: Miyamoto is god, making the best games in the world, GO MARIO

Kubrick: (Miyamoto) i would love to give this question a great answer, but i am too brain dead to think of anything clever to say here

Wolverine: (Miyamoto) To me he is a gaming god. Everything he does is great

fRINK: (Miyamoto) I like all of his porn movies

sindoor: To me Miyamoto is the godfather of modern gaming. Modern I say because there are people, Bushnell for instance, who, in the NES - Pre NES days, accomplished many things which have shaped the gaming world into what it is today. Without the pioneer, the genius has less ground to stand on. Yes, I do consider Miyamoto a genius in his field. There is something missing in most games today, something intangible (dubbed the "fun factor" by many), which Miyamoto brings to each of his projects in full force. I remember when Mario 64 came out I was thinking "This has got to be it. Miyamoto cannot top this." I still don't believe he has topped it still. Howver I feel that his projects after Mario 64 have been equally as good, if not quite as revolutionary. I mean Mario 64 pioneered 3D platform gaming on consoles! Pretty big accomplishment. Which brings me to the second part of this question, which is my fav. I would have to say Mario 64. Although Zelda 64 was the ! greatest action/puzzle based game I've ever played, Mario 64 changed everything so much, and with such flawless execution, that I choose that title.

SR-71: (Miyamoto) He a Japanese guy.RTHE BEST DAMN JAPANEESE GUY IN THE WORLD.Anything Zelda.

poisoncow: miyamoto is the god of gaming .his biggest accomplishment is reinventing the way we see games all the time

SLY2K: (Miyamoto) He is the greatest developer of all time. zelda of course is one of his favorite acomplishments to me.

wraith1: Miyamoto is one of the greatest designers and innovators in games today. My favorite would have to be zelda because the story never seems old and he's always doing whats best instead of rushing it.

VampMan: (Miyamoto) He is a Japanese guy who makes videogames. A.K.A. "GOD" to you guys.

JRocket: Miyamoto is simply a Genius. He is the Jimi Hendrix of gaming. Unrivalled gaming genius. Who knows where gaming would be today without him. His greatest accomplishments to me are Zelda 1, Mario 64 and Zelda : Ocarina of Time.

Virtosis: Shigeru Miyamto to me is the greatest video game creator of all time. I also believe that he is the most well known and respected. I personaly think that Ocarina of time was his greatest accomplishment although I enjoyed A link to the past for SNES better.

BigFred: (Miyamoto) Not as good as Yu Suzuki, but he's up there.

Question 2:

sindoor: My favorite Nintendo system? I have to get a little nostolgic and say NES. Just because I grew up with it and played so many great games on it. Sure the newer machines were better graphically, but i cherish those fond memories of 8-bit sleepless nights. Final fantasy 1! Nothing like it at tthe time, well maybe Dragon Warrior. I mean damn!, i still remember the code to get to Tyson in Mike TYson's Puch Out 007 373 5963. How sad is that? And who can forget U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,B,A,Start for all those games. For these reasons among other Nes is my choice.

GMX: SNES is my favorite system of ALL time becuz it had the greatest game and ZELDA ZELDA ZELDA! heh it also had great RPG's like Chrono trigger ect.

esss: the N64, this console is teh one which i have spent most of my spare time on. Along with rares' contributions nintendo, miyamoto and co have got it sussed. the playability of the AAA titles is by far the finest of any console at the moment. I mean 40hrs on jet force, 50+hrs and still more on ocarina of time (10 hrs just riding round on epona!!) plus many, many more hrs on goldeneye, perfect dark(just got!), banjo kazooie, turok 1,2,3 , f-zero-x, dk64. The expansion pack in my opinion added more to what you get from the n64. It is just a wonderful machine and even the mighty playstation these days fails to tempt me back even with games like the world beating FF7 still unfinished with 90+hrs on.

slp_frk: NES, it was the best, i loved EXCITEBIKE!!!!!

Wolverine: Super Nintendo because it has a huge selection of great games to play

Narmot: Um N64, you fool. Cuz all the other ones suck. Except for Sega with the internet gameplay. (otherwise that sucks too)

BigFred: I prefer Sega but if I had to pick a nintendo system, it'd be SNES

Virtosis: I would have to say that I have the best memories of video games on the NES. This is the system that introduced me to video game when I was just a little kid(I'm 17 now). So I would have to go with NES.

SR-71: SNES you could beat with a sledge hammer and not damamge it.

Camron357: snes cause it had games wit good replayability and it had alot of games

wraith1: My favorite system is the Nes because it revitalized my interest into videogames after atari. I spent more time in grade school playing contra, all the marios, and dragon warrior than any other kid. I also remember the excitement of being the first person to get an nes.

VampMan: NES: because its the only one I have, so it wins by default.

aperfectO: i like the super nes the best because i loved all the games especially the street fighter series.

JRocket: N64, for it's innovation. The anolouge stick, rumble pack, 4 ports etc.

MidEvil: i have never owned anything other then a sega. from the second day the first sega was on the market..but as far as nintendo is concerned, i dont care for it,,,its just something different sometimes.so, I'll giv'em props..

poisoncow: super nintendo.tech wise it was years ahead of itself and the games were great

Nappa: Super NES has definetly been my favorite Nintendo system ever, and favorite game system ever period. It has the greatest collection of games, and can't be touched in the RPG genre, (my fav) with games such as Chrono Trigger (my fav game of all time), Final Fantasy 2/4 and 3/6, Secret of Mana and more. It also has games like Super Metroid, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, and countless others that I spent many an hour on.
