| The colors Duke, the colors! | |
| Both the orange and black consoles will be available in Japan beginning November 21, according to Nintendo -- just three days after GameCube launches in America. So we get the black consoles 3 days before them but when do we get the spicy orange consoles over here? The world may never know...Right now you'll have to settle for the controller. | |

| Yes tony will make it | |
| Neversoft confirmed today that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 will make an early December release for GameCube. The visuals should be slightly improved over the PS2 version and Neversoft they have less stuff to load...whatever that means..probably faster load times really, not less detail. Having this game out already is a pretty surprising move seeing as how they only had GC dev kits for 6 months. This doesnt mean it's just some rushed port though. | |

| NFL2K2 | |
| One of the Dreamcast's biggest series (if not the biggest) returns in NFL2K2 (DC). Is this year's version different enough from last's to warrant a purchase? Has the gameplay been "tweaked" too much? Or does Visual Concepts carry on the excellent tradition they started in NFL2K... | |

| Tony's gonna make it? | |
| Contrary to earlier reports, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 could very well be released this holiday season. EGM and Nintendo Power both slate this "holiday season" as the release for Tony3. Earlier Activision made it out as if the game couldnt be finished until early 2002 but I guess they are porting the PS2 version pretty well. Too bad the GC version is almost guranteed to not have online features...but here's hopin :/ | |

| This isn't really GC news but important nevertheless | |
| The Xbox launch was pushed back to November 15th..the same day GameCube ships (not shelved). Some stores like Walmart are saying they will be selling GC's right when they get them. Basically that weekend should be a little crazy. The Xbox delay has nothing to do with the WTC attacks, basically they just needed more time to get enough units out. *Update, i typed "pushed back to November third earlier for some crazy reason..but the 15th is the true date* | |

| Multi platforming online still a dream | |
| PSOv2 will sadly not link online between GC and DC. The GameCube version of PSOv2 features some things that the Dreamcast version does not, mainly 2 new characters. Because of this, and other techinical problems with getting the systems to talk to each other, the Dreamcast and GameCube versions of PSOv2 will not interact with each other. | |

| 1080 pulls a 180? | |
| Source: IGNCube Reliable sources allege that 1080 GC has quietly been cancelled by Nintendo -- at least, as it was shown at Space World last August. No concrete reasons have been given for the suspected termination of the project, but early reports from insiders indicate that EAD and Left Field Productions haven't always seen eye-to-eye on the direction the game should take. However, it could also be in development..just starting back at square one. | |

| Rumors and releases | |
| First the rumor: Square is going to hold a press conference soon detailing their plans on the Nintendo GameCube. They are going to be releasing a port of FFXI in addition to a new game, that might be exclusive. Nintendo is reported to have paid several billion yen to Square to develop on the GameCube. Now in releases, Electronic Arts has confirmed that it will release a version of Simpsons’ Road Rage for the GameCube at launch. The game is like Crazy Taxi, only Homer is picking people up around Springfield. It will launch alongside Crazy Taxi as well... Even though the GC launch was nothing spectacular, systems have been flying off the shelves lately and there appears to be a controller shortage. | |

| GC to give birth to the entire Resident series and then some | |
| Capcom announced that remakes of Biohazard, Biohazard 2, Biohazard 3: Nemesis and Biohazard: Code Veronica would be released for GameCube exclusively (Note biohazard = Resident ). Biohazard 4 will also arrive for GC exclusively. Plus, the company will still bring Biohazard 0 to the console, again exclusively. The first game, Biohazard, which is under the direction of Shinji Mikami himself, will arrive March 22 in Japan with the others to follow. Capcom further noted: "Because we don't want to force our users to have to buy many systems to play the Biohazard games, we've decided to focus on one console: GameCube." I guess this story will be lost in the pile of people still worried about GC's userbase. | |

| Famitsu gives GC gold | |
| The latest issue of Japan's Famitsu Weekly magazine featured reviews of Nintendo GameCube launch titles Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race: Blue Storm and Super Monkey Ball. All three games received the publication's gold rating. Luigi's Mansion received review scores of 9, 9, 8, and 8 by the magazine. Its editors said the game's atmosphere is genuinely spooky and also noted that the control system, while tricky at first, works well. Wave Race earned scores of 8, 9, 8 and 7, and the publication commented that the game is beautiful and filled with different weather variables and play options. Super Monkey Ball scored 8, 8, 8 and 8 by editors, who liked the mini-games in addition to the regular modes. -source IGNCube | |

| MORE GC/GBA lovin | |
| Straight from PGC Sega has announced that Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Advance will interact via the NGC-GBA link cable. According to Euro-Asia Game Boy, the Chao Racing mini-game found in the Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure 2 will also be present in that game's port to GameCube. However, the Dreamcast's VMU was used to train the little Chao creatures in "Chao Adventure 2"...on the GameCube, that feature will be accomplished via the Game Boy Advance. The original Sonic Advance title for GBA will be compatible with the GC version of Sonic Adventure 2, and hooking them up together will open up the mini-game, complete with the unique Chao of your choice from the garden(s). | |

| Hy's predictions | |
| Well this is based on fact and isnt meant to show how obsessed I am with this game. I believe there are 21 characters in Smash Bros Melee. Now this news wont affect what you think of the game once you get it so keep reading! The official site: Smash Brothers Melee.com says the game will have over 20 characters. Now if you have seen a ton of screens, you would have seen a scan from famitsu magazine that showed the fighters in rows of 7 and 5 question marks under them. This led me to believe there will be 19. Now with this news that there will be more, I think once you access those first 5 secret ones, you will have to do something different to get the other 2. I wont tell you my predictions, but it only makes sense to make 3 rows of 7 characters...which adds up to 21. Thats a helluvalot better than 12 from the original. And if my prediction is wrong, thats good because it cant be any less anyway. | |

| As if there weren't enough games coming out... | |
| I know numerous people are a lil worried about the 3rd party situation of GC but 3 companies may help ease the pain. On the Sega front, NBA 2k2 and the college basketball game is now confirmed for GameCube. Sega's Tennis 2k2 and NFL 2k2 are also going multi-platform, but they have not been announced for GC yet. Oh and Sega also confirmed that it will bring its NFL 2K3, NBA 2K3, World Series Baseball 2K3, NCAA College Football 2K3, and NHL 2K3 to GameCube. Midway has this line up: Q4 2001 NHL Hitz 2002 Q1 2002 NFL Blitz 2002, Spy Hunter Q2 2002 Gravity Games BMX, Red Card Soccer, MLB Slugfest, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy Q3 2002 Mortal Kombat 5, NHL Hitz 2003, NFL Blitz 2004 Q4 2002 NBA Basketball (must be a tentative name), Defender, Freaky Fliers Ubi Soft announced six GameCube titles to be released within the first five months of the system's life--Batman: Vengeance, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, Rayman Arena, Evolution Worlds, Disney's Tarzan Untamed, and Disney's Donald Duck Goin' Quackers. Anyone keeping with the news already knew about all these games..except Evolution which is the sequel to the DC sequel. | |
