Game of the Year: 2004 Edition
It's official! Nbrid visitors' taste in games SUCK! Well, that was a little harsh. In fact, many of these I agree with. But not all. So I stand by what I said. What can you do about it? Cry? Hack us? HA!
There were a few problems. First, since this was all via write-ins, people had "problems" with what was an action game and what was an adventure game or platformer. I had to step in and make a few executive decisions on that. They also had problems reading since I said only 2004 games were eligable. The other problem is the lack of any originality in these picks. Nothing that will really shock anyone. You'll just go "okay, I guess, okay, darn, okay, okay, okay, I guess, what else is there, huh, not bad, I guess, okay, okay, darn, no way, beats me, why, maybe, so I hear, sure, okay, definitely, definitely, definitely, agreed."
I'd like to thank all those who took the time to vote. Next year (yes, NEXT year) I'll reduce the number of categories for ease of voting. But for now, enjoy!

Like I said of the categories I care about, most of them I can't disagree with (but they might not of been my pick). Though I do think Echoes got a raw deal since it only won one award, but then again, the only category it didn't win I definitely think it should have is best adventure game. Game of the Year is a toss-up and I could of gone with Echoes or HL2 for that. At least Paper Mario won best RPG.
If you're wondering, "none" did in fact win best fighter. No character got more than one vote for best new character so that's why I put "no clear winner". As for best adventure game, World of Warcraft "won" but since I see that as competing for the best RPG award (which it lost by won vote), I overturned it. Second in that category was Jak 3 which is what lead to the "no clear winner" instead. And if you were still wondering, Halo 2 and WoW came in 2nd and 3rd in the GotY category.
