    One of the greatest
Kirby titles, and even SNES titles, has to be Kirby Superstar. It takes
everything from previous games to make it something amazing. The dueling
games from Kirby Adventure are one upped with 3 new 2 player games: Samarai
Showdown, Megaton Punch, and even a racing game with Dedede. Some games
include levels from previous Kirby games like Spring Breeze which features
4 Kirby's Dreamland levels. I have not played this game in a while and
I regretfully sold my SNES a few years ago, but I can still remember how
fun this game was.

    First of all
the gameplay is spot on. Not only do you have 19 powers to chose from,
but you can create a helper and play cooperatively with a friend. The
controls are very easy and the Beginner's Lesson can even be fun when
making the computer angry. As you progress through each game, they get
tougher and tougher until you unlock everything. The broad range of powers
and the combos you can do with them set this game apart even from the
latest Kirby64. An example would be my favorite power, plasma. As you
run, you generate electricity and a shield forms around you. This can
be used as a giant weapon fully charged. The suplex is also cool in that
you can do many different combos to your enemies. All I can say is that
Kirby Superstar is the highest point in 2D gameplay I have ever experienced.

    As I said before,
as you progress, you unlock many different games. Replay is perfect. After
you beat every game, you still may need to find some treasure in the Great
Cave Escape, or the hidden copy power in Milky Way Wishes. The biggest
bonus is once you beat Milky Way Wishes. The arena adds replay in that
you can battle all the bosses in one sitting. It's very hard to describe
everything Superstar has to offer because there is a ton.

    The music, graphics...everything
seems perfect. The little touches like a different hat for each power
to finding the statues you create when using stone power; all make this
game something original. It's too bad that no Kirby game has capitalized
on these features. After Kirby3 and Kirby64, Superstar is still my favorite
game, and one of my all time favorite games on any system. If you missed
out on this because of when it came out, I strongly suggest you play this
if you are even remotely interested in 2D games anymore. I never should
have sold it.
