'Nintendo' Power?

Every month I'm treated to the latest issue of Nintendo Power courtesy
of a (who knows how many years were paid for) subscription, and every
year I begin to notice how much Nintendo Power is starting to suck. I
have two major problems with the mag.
One of them is the fact that about 80% of the magazine consists of strategy
guides, and not only strategy guides, but strategy guides to mostly non-played
games. All the freakin' maps take up most of the book. It's okay to do
a little strategy, but I would rather see information on new games, then
page after page of strategies. Why is it that other mags such as EGM (besides
the fact that EGM rocks) have more info on things like Gamecube and GBA
then Nintendo's mag itself? The PakWatch section which shows the upcoming
games and news is only usually about 3-4 pages long if that.
The other problem I have with the magazine is the letter section in which
mostly lame topics are asked, and answered, and only about once a year
will you see a letter posted talking bad about Nintendo. Let the readers
see what other readers really think, not just the Pokemon savvy.
Hopefully with the debut of the GBA and the upcoming GC, the magazine
will begin to change back into its former self. I mean really, shouldn't
we see the first pics of Metroid for GBA in a Nintendo magazine, rather
then in any other??????
