More members keep joining (slowly) and I start to take notice of "clans" preparing for online gaming on Dreamcast. With Spaceworld on the way, we know that posting Dolphin rumors isn't exactly the best content for the site. I decided that we should start focussing on giving members a voice on the website instead of just chatting with them. And by "I", I mean with the suggestions of all the other members. So by the time Spaceworld was over, we begin our focus on the new message boards and the official NBrid clan: NOG (NBrid Online Gaming).

The clan stuff never really got big and to this date, we have only had 1 major tournament (NFL2k1). By November, NBrid must have comprised of 40 members or more. Even though none of these listed on the site were from the old Dolphins group, about half didn't even make a presence in chat. I start to focus more on the site and creating new graphics instead of the clan. The only people that did much on the site were Bone and I. We had reviews from NoCash and Nappa to keep us going. Joining NBrid by site becomes the only way to join at all. I remember when we didn't have that much info on the members to create a profile for everyone. NBridNet 3.0 is on the way...

Around now things get a little hazy. Not as many online Dreamcast games came out as expected and I personally did not own a one. With Bone doing the site, running a clan was a pain in the ass. For the full history of NBrid, I would have to describe the joining of most of the members around this time. Rana, whom I met on the NintendoNext IRC server started his own column which became a first on the NBrid site. Poisoncow had a short-lived column on rumors and well...we were never quite sure on what it was about and then he left (I think he is still around somewhere though). ConnDestn joined around the same time as Poisoncow and I remember thinking they were working together to take over #hybrid...yeah sounds crazy now. Conn has the longest running column on the site and still continues to deliver.

To boost the clan, I make an "alliance" with #Firestorm only because I talk with the owner about GameCube now and then. This brings NStorm, originally made as a section on the site for interclan tournaments. Another alliance was made with the SegaSychos because a few brids happened to be members there so I thought it would be a good idea....also because I played this stupid invite game with Sycho/Nokio. This stupid invite game brought me to meet klamkilla in their room. What would of happened if I had won? So klam joins and eventually gets his own column (to take over for poison's).

Now comes the idea to make the site even better. Bone and I work on NBridNet 4.0 to be done by January. You may think making it to 4.0 in only 7 months is a little dramatic, but you've never seen NBridNet 1.0. The new site includes a smoother layout and better interface for Dreamcast users. Other revisions to the site are always being made and many of you haven't been to half the pages on the site.

This brings us to today. One year has passed since I first made a little room for people to talk about Nintendo. Now we are a community of over 110 members. We have revived the clan with the help of Klamkilla and are expecting a tournament around the time this story is posted. The message boards and chat room are more active than they have ever been...well maybe not as active as the time NoCash brought all his friends to trivia last summer. There are more things for members to do at NBridNet as well. With a new year comes a new NBrid...
