what is the meaning of 3rd party support: 1st party games are developed by the maker of a console (like Nintendo EAD games for GC). These are always exclusive. 2nd party games are from developers who the manufactuer of a console have a contract with to only make games for them. Often they have a financial interest in them (partially own). 3rd party developers are completely independant of any console manufactuer. In general, they make games for all platforms, but even if they make games for just one console, they are still a 3rd party. (Alternative definition of 3rd party: games that don't sell well on GC.)
