Super Smash Bros. Brawl! (Wii)

After a long wait, the sequel to one of the best multi-player games ever is finally here, Super Smash Bros. Brawl! If you've played Melee, you know what to expect. Which isn't a bad thing. And if you haven't played a Smash Bros. before, then maybe this look back at Smash Bros. related stories on NBrid will help...

G-Rated Non-Gaming Fun with your Wii ...And PlayStation 3

First, all of you sick bastards playing with your "Wii" can leave. I'm sure others with gasp at the thought of using their brand new console for something other than games, but these systems do have other uses people. Maybe it's just my geek side who enjoys fooling around with this, but hey when it's not only fun but useful, why not. I think the last time I used a console for something other than games was web surfing on Dreamcast. That's changed with Nintendo's Wii and Sony's PS3.

Nintendo Wii WAS at the local Target, so Bone...

Had to wait in line like 10+ hours to get one. I had checked around early Saturday afternoon and BB/CC/Target all said don't worry we have plenty. I overheard an employee tell one mother with 2 excited kids that they were to hand out tickets at 7am and if she was there then she would be fine. There were a couple of diehards already camping at BB at around 1pm, but I said eh, and went to watch Michigan v. Ohio State. That was almost a mistake, despite it being a great game...

Hell hath frozen over: The Nintendo DS Lite Cometh

Sigh, what have I done. Am I going to wake up tomorrow with a nasty hangover of buyer's regret? Maybe, but probably not. What I do know though is I'm sure to hear about this from the many people I proclaimed DS's "lameness" to, and that is quite a long list.

It's actually even worse than that. Not only have I gone on a two year long DS bashing vendetta, I've held a life long anti-handheld philosophy. I've never owned a handheld before. The pathetic "graphics" and overly simplistic gameplay didn't interest me in the least. So have times changed or have I?

Damn you Nintendo, what have you done to my Samus...

Continuing my ever so popular series on how much Wii pisses me off, I bring you this ever so slightly 'late to the party' rant on terrible character models.

I mean if it wasn't bad enough that Nintendo is making me play the next installment of my beloved Metroid with outdated graphics, what they've done to Samus in Smash Bros. Brawl is unforgivable. Un-freakin-forgivable! Zero Suit Samus hurts me eyes, I wanna cry...

This year's expo at the Los Angeles convention center was a little different than it has even been before. The most significant difference was that I WAS THERE! (Reprinted with implied oral permission from Con-Trast)

Yeah, I (Johngamer) know this happened like two years ago, but I think it will get more views here on Nbrid than on my top-secret/hidden site! Yes, it is true; video games force teens to resort to violence in any and every situation...

We have a thread in our forum titled "The 'Official' Resident Evil sucks thread", but because of all the early reviews proclaiming the greatness of RE4, it quickly turned into "The 'Official' Resident Evil rules thread". No more!

Got a spankin' new Nintendo DS and nothing to play? Don't forget its best feature: it plays GBA games! How does this Capcom developed Legend of Zelda stack-up against previous Zelda games? I don't know. This is just a preview.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - Impressions (GC)

Two years ago Nintendo resurrected the Metroid franchise with plenty of controversy. A first person Metroid? Blasphemy! But it didn't take long to see that Retro knew what it was doing. Is Echoes just as prime for greatness?

The original Paper Mario was often overlooked during N64's last days. Hopefully the same won't be said of Paper Mario 2, or the GameCube. Based on initial impressions; Nintendo fans, RPG fans, and adventure game fans alike would do well to play this game.
