A Decade of Dreamcast: 9/9/99 to 09/09/09

That's right folks. Ten years ago the infamous Sega Dreamcast was unleashed upon these United States. I recall picking up Ready 2 Rumble, NFL2K, and of course Soul Calibur along with an extra controller and two VMUs. I added Sonic Adventure a couple days later. Unfortunately, the DC also shipped with a 56k modem (remember those?). I say that because it took another year for any online game to release, and so in the interim we were left using the modem to chat online. Almost ruined my life...

Phantasy Star Universe... Online!

So after a long wait (five and a half years...) the true sequel to Dreamcast's best time suck is upon us, and Phantasy Star Universe (PSU) makes PSO look like crap! Okay, maybe not. It's too early to tell. PSU has the same PSO feel we all love, but at the same time doesn't feel exactly the same. Really it's just another Diablo clone, that for some reason I always enjoyed playing.

E3 2005 Breakdown

Phantasy Star Online turns 4! (PSO)

It was the winter of our discontent, early 2001. We had just heard the bad news, Sega was discontinuing the Dreamcast! But our sadness was short lived for just days later we were too busy playing Phantasy Star Online to care, much.

PSO Episode III: End Game

So here I sit at the end. Time to move on. Before I go, let me express my gratitude for an enjoyable life learning experience. Well, at least on card battle techniques.

NBrid @ E3 2004: Propitious Predictions

Don't look now, but THE video game/geek fest is upon us. This annual event gives suffering Nintendo fans hope throughout the year, but now that it's here... Anyways, what can we expect? And how will we here at NBrid be bringing it to you?

PSO: Phantasy Star Online Trivia

Who doesn't like trivia. Well, idiots maybe. Here is a selection of trivia questions based on Sega's Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II and III. Who knew there was so much knowledge to be had in PSO Ep. 1 & 2 and 3.

A look back at Dreamcast

The Dreamcast was an inspiration to many console gamers today, but why was it so loved? It's online capabilities were fun, easy to use, and most importantly, free. Well, they were free for a while.

E3'03: Sega part 1

Today Sega released a listing of the games they plan to show off at E3. Some were expected, but there were a few surprises. Can you say a new, multiplatform Sonic?!
